Klara Derks
Klara Louisa Derks began her professional career in wealth and asset management and the international interior and art market: starting at the asset manager DJE Kapital AG followed by the fine art auction house Karl & Faber. She also gained experience at Serviceplan Group and design company Santa & Cole in Barcelona.
In the following four years, she worked at American investment bank Goldman Sachs in Frankfurt am Main. Here, she began as a financial analyst and later worked as an associate in private wealth management and asset management. Her clients included UHNWIs, entrepreneurs, family offices, and foundations in European markets for which she developed custom investment strategies across all major asset classes. Her responsibilities included tactical asset allocation, portfolio and liquidity analysis, and structuring complex investment solutions in a regulatory context. In addition, she acted as a bridge between sales, portfolio management, trading, and compliance, and supported strategic sales partnerships with in-depth market and product analyses.
With her entry into the family business, Klara Louisa Derks is taking on entrepreneurial co-responsibility and ensuring succession at derks brand management consultants in Munich. Together with her father Hansgeorg Derks, she is leading the further development of the consulting firm with a clear focus on strategy, internationalisation, and sustainable corporate and brand development in the SME sector.
Alongside her practical work, she established academic focal points at the intersection of finance, interior design, and the art market early on. She completed her studies at the University of Amsterdam. Building on her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, she earned a Master of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Financial Management and Creative Industries (Art), graduating with honours.
